RTI International worked with a client to create a set of questions for medical practices to asses their readiness to offer telehealth services. I was then brought onto the project to create an interactive, digital version of the paper-based assessment.
I produced mockups in Sketch and led the client in an iterative design process. When the design was finalized, I used the Foundation for Sites CSS framework, Node, React, and Redux to code a lightweight application that runs completely in the browser with no need for a database.
The tool was planned for deployment in summer 2020, but we accelerated the timeline when the COVID-19 pandemic started in March. I met demand for telehealth resources by quickly deploying on Heroku with minimal hosting costs for the client.
